Soroptimist Club of Phoenixville was founded in 1945 and welcomes all women at different stages of life. The term Soroptimist means "best for women." Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women achieve their best.
Approximately 72,000 Soroptimists in 121 countries, and territories, support community-based and global projects benefiting women and girls, and their social and economic empowerment. Soroptimists stress the importance of education as it is the most effective path to self-determination.
Soroptimist members belong to local clubs that participate in the Dream Programs to help women and girls achieve social and economic empowerment. You can find more about these programs under our scholarships tab.
